Indian executives shining in tech firms globally

Vyomesh (VJ) Joshi, Hewlett-Packard
After joining HP way back in 1980 as a research and development engineer, Vyomesh (VJ) Joshi has held various leadership positions within the company. Currently, Joshi is serving as the Executive Vice President of the Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) at HP. IPG is a $24 billion annual revenue business that encompasses the consumer, enterprise, small-to-medium business and graphics customer segments. In the last eight years under VJ's leadership, IPG has grown revenue from $19 billion to $24 billion and doubled its operating profit to more than $4 billion. VJ joined HP in 1980 as a research and development engineer and has held various leadership positions. VJ has been a member of the Yahoo! board of directors as well since 2005.
Vishal Sikka, SAP
A doctorate degree holder in computer science from Stanford University in California, Vishal Sikka started his SAP journey as the chief software architect, being responsible for the technology and architecture road map and the advanced technology group. It was in April 2007 when Sikka was appointed the first CTO of SAP. He has been a member of the Executive Board leading the Technology and Innovation Platform area since February last year and is looking after the SAP technology platform and tools to design and deliver the SAP technology portfolio, including SAP NetWeaver and SAP BusinessObjects technologies. Vishal also oversees key technology partnerships and customer co-innovation, and is an executive sponsor of the SAP Labs network. Before his SAP career, Sikka was the Area Vice President for platform technologies at Peregrine Systems.
