Bangalore: India and China have many things in common. Be it the power hungry economy, huge population, poverty or pollution, the two Asian giants are on the same page on numerous fronts. Adding to this tally is a huge talent pool that is fuelling the business of numerous B-schools globally, reports Hemali Chhapia of TNN.

In fact, as per a survey by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), young aspirants from the two Asian giants are mostly responsible for the growth of full-time MBA programmes in the U.S. and the rest of the world.

The survey which covered 328 graduate B-Schools in about 42 countries revealed that approximately 31 percent of MBA programmes globally receive the second highest number of applications from India. It was also revealed that U.S. based B-schools have emerged as top beneficiaries of this demand, while those in the Asia-Pacific are not so fortunate.

Michelle Sparkman Renz, Director of research communications for GMAC said to TNN that, "There was a noticeable increase in programmes where India was the greatest source of talent (24 percent programmes) compared to last year's survey results (14 percent)".
