India Inc To Offer 10.3 Pct Raise To Employees This Fiscal

BANGALORE: Welcome news for job goers as Indian companies have decided to offer 10.3 Pct average salary increment for employees in the current fiscal year with the professionals in pharma, health care and life sciences projected to get 12.4 percent raise, as reported by Times Of India.

According to the survey conducted by Deloitte India, a Human Capital Consulting. Companies like pharmaceutical, healthcare and life sciences are set to do well with an expected average raise of 12.4 percent, which is the highest across sectors in 2014-15. In fact it is comparatively lower than compared to 12.6 percent in the previous fiscal. Given the overall mood of the economy, the retail sector is said to go with a conservative approach and is most likely to offer the lowest average increment at 9.1 percent.

The survey added, "Average annual increment percentages have reduced marginally across levels. The reduction is highest at the middle management levels." Meanwhile, as per the survey findings the average voluntary attrition rate across sectors in the 2013-14 fiscal had been 13.4 percent, 0.8 percent points lower than the previous fiscal 2012-13.
