Increase In Demand For Analytics Resources In 2014 According To Kelly Services India

Compared to pre-recession times when talent jumped jobs at minimum 50% hikes, employees are relatively realistic about their expectations while shifting jobs. On an average employees in most sectors got an 8-12% hike from existing employers and people were shifting their jobs for exactly double that percentage. This means people at best were moving their CTC by a year.

MrKaranth further added that, “Skilled workforce is the need of the hour and with critical workforce being generated in India; we see a positive hike in salary across sectors which majorly include IT, pharma and analytics”.

Results of the survey in India also show:

2013 SALARY MOVEMENT

1. The FMCG and Pharmaceutical sectors saw junior level employees receiving greater salary hikes then few of their senior counterparts

2. This could be attributed to the growing nature of consumption in India and demand that is being generated by FMCG companies and the penetration of Mediclaim boosting per capita pharma spend on the urban side

3. The engineering sector did not see any significant movements as compared to 2012 on a relative basis. This could be attributed to the lack of new jobs created in the manufacturing side for example slowingautomobile demand
