IIMB Students To Do Their Intern In Big Companies

sdBENGALURU: Now, The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has laid down summer internship program for its students. These internship process is for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in management (batch 2015-17), popularly known as the “Dream Company” choice, according to deccanherald.com.

The placements procedure involved over 150 companies, hiring students for a summer stint in roles such as—consulting, investment banking, markets, corporate banking, sales and markets, business leadership, product management, operations, category management, and general management. The short-listed students will spend eight to ten weeks in the companies and may eventually be consumed for full-time jobs, before the final placement takes place. The business school has also seen Internet companies coming in for the placement, such as—Uber Technologies Inc, and many more.

More than 30 percent students from this year’s batch of were roped in by the consulting sector such as—Bain & Company, A T Kearney, Roland Berger, Alvarez & Marsal, PWC Diamond, Capgemini, IBM Consulting, Cognizant Business Consulting, and GEP Consulting. The Boston Consulting Group made hired 22 students, which is the highest number of offers ever made by it across Indian campuses.

Accenture Management Consulting also turned up with 16 offers and Mckinsey & Co. with 12 offers, who are also top recruiters of this year according to the institution report. These companies offered salary ranging from 40k to 2.5 lakh per month. IIM Bangalore also hosted the summer recruitment process for IIM Visakhapatnam for the class of 2015-2017, where 60 percent of the applicants will be placed.
