HP's Neelam among Fortune's most powerful women in business

Bangalore: Neelam Dhawan, Managing Director (MD) of Hewlett-Packard (HP) India, has been featured in the Fortune's annual global list of '50 Most Powerful Women in Business' for 2009. She occupies the 37th rank in this list.
Neelam's induction to this list comes a little over one year after her appointment to the post of MD. In this role, she is responsible for driving revenues and profitability countrywide across various HP businesses.
In addition to Neelam, three other Indian women - Chanda Kochhar, CEO and Managing Director ICICI Bank; Shobhana Bhartia, Chairperson and Editorial Director, HT Media and Preetha Reddy, Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals - have been named in the list released by the Fortune magazine recently.
