Bangalore: Mentoring is a fine art. In a company, employees will always think of having a mentor to guide him or her towards success. The role of a mentor is to act as a coach, to train the employees; as a friend, to make the employees feel comfortable to discuss their problems; and as a counselor, to suggest solutions for the problems of the employees.
There are many advantages of having a good mentor. Ritu Kamani, who works at a KPO, shared her thoughts to Times of India that she has a very casual and unofficial mentorship with her mentor, but that has been proven to be extremely relevant to her career. In another case, Srishti Sharma, a PR executive told that only after she got good directions from her mentor, she was able to accept and rise above the office politics.
