Tata Institute of Social Sciences or TISS is one of the best universities in the country for Post Graduate programs. It has campuses in Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, and Guwahati. TISS conducts its own entrance test called TISSNET in centres across the country. It takes place every year in the month of January. TISSNET 2019 will be held on 13 January, 2019.

TISSNET exam pattern

• TISSNET is an online/computer-based exam
• The paper is divided into General Awareness, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, and English
• The total number of questions are 100
• 1 mark is awarded for every correct answer
• There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, hence it is a relatively safer exam to take.
• The exam duration would be 1 hour 40 minutes

• Read magazines like the Pratiyogita Darpan, Economic and Political Weekly, Manorama Year book, to get an in-depth understanding of the political issues and government policies.

• You need to be well-versed with the grammatical rules. Getting into the habit of reading is a great way to ensure that.
• Read the opinion articles in The Hindu and The Indian Express. You will get to expand your vocabulary that ways.
• Try to learn at-least 15-20 idioms daily
• Practice atleast three reading comprehensions on a daily basis.
