Hiring to Witness 7 Pct Rise in 2016: Survey
NEW DELHI: As a report surveyed by TimesJobs.com, 2016 looks a great year for job seekers as the hiring is expected to witness a growth of 7pct. The leading and in-demand sectors in the surge of hiring will be manufacturing and IT.
The report states that about 60 pct of the total 1,614 recruiters surveyed disclosed that that they look forward to hiring more workforces in 2016. As per TimesJobs.com Job Outlook 2016 survey, IT, telecom and manufacturing sectors are expected to the biggest recruiters in the next year. 25 pct of the surveyed organizations said that IT and telecom companies will lead this hiring wave whereas 20 pct were of the view that the manufacturing sector will be the top employer.
Sectors like infrastructure and healthcare received 17 and 15 pct votes respectively. "With the government's Digital India and Make in India push, manpower demand is bound to increase in core technology and manufacturing sectors in 2016," said Vivek Madhukar, chief operating officer, TimesJobs.com.
"Although big enterprises are likely to be the lead recruiters, the contribution of startups in creating new jobs cannot be overlooked," he added.
Majority of the companies are of the view that sales and business development will be the leading in-demand professional in the coming year. Along with this, 25 pct of the surveyed organizations predict that marketing professionals with digital marketing skills will witness a surge in demand.
With IT professionals leading the demand graph in the job market, 2016 will also be a great year for middle-level employees and women job seekers.
