BANGALORE: The year 2016 promises to usher bright career prospects for business school graduates in comparison to the last year, as per an annual survey conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), reports ET.

In addition to this, 56 percent of the employers look forward to increase the base salaries at or more than the rate of inflation for MBA freshers in 2016 whereas the rest will follow the same level of base salaries. Even base salaries for recent masters of accounting hires will be increment by 50 percent of the employers.

96 of the surveyed employers stated that business school graduates are valuable for this business ventures whereas 68 percent of them agreed that they have plans to hire more of these graduates, as per the survey-'2015 Year-End Poll of Employers’.

The survey was carried out from October 27 to November 16 that included 179 recruiters from across 159 companies located in 31 countries. The survey also included various industry sectors. "Employer demand for graduate management talent is projected to remain strong in 2016 for MBAs and other master's-level business candidates," said Bob Alig, executive VP for school products, GMAC, non-profit organization that conducted the survey.

 "Recent graduates from business and management programmes should see high demand for their skills because employers understand that they are valuable assets to their organizations." he added.
73 percent of the responding employers said that their company places to hire graduates of masters of accounting and masters in management programmes for internship in 2016, whereas 92 percent of the companies that already offer internships stated of increasing them by 26 percent.

The survey indicates a prosperous 2016 to watch out for jobs and offers the employers and school the detailed statistics on graduate management hiring practices.
