5. Punjab:
The fifteenth highly populated State of India, Punjab is situated in the northern part of India that is bordered by the State of Himachal Pradesh towards its east, Haryana to the south and southeast and Rajasthan to the southwestern part and Pakistani province of Punjab towards its west. Union territory Chandigarh serves as the capital city of both the States of Punjab and Haryana. With major cities namely Amritsar, Jalandhar, Patiala, Ludhiana based in the State of Punjab, has an unemployment rate of just 1.8 percent that helps the State to stand in the fifth place in the list of highly employed States in India in spite of having not so good financial status compared to other States.

Other interesting facts about Punjab is that, it has been recognized as the state that has the lowest hunger rate as of 2008 and it gives its residents the best quality of life. Apart from that the State has also the best infrastructure among all the other Indian states.
