More: Jobs That Pay Less Than What You Think

1.Recruiters spend merely 6 seconds to evaluate an individual’s CV / resume

2.This study using ‘gaze tracking’ technology showed that recruiters spent nearly 80 percent of their time evaluating the following information-

*. Name

*. Current title / company

*. Previous title / company

*. Previous position start and end dates

*. Current position start and end dates

*. Education

Beyond these six key data points, recruiters scanned the resume / CV for keywords that matched the current open position. Since the decision was greatly dependent on the above mentioned six key data points, rest of the individual’s details became fillers and had little or no impact on the decision making process.
