Formidable Increase in Employment Related Discrepancies in Q3 of 2015

BANGALORE: Latest reports of Background Screening of the company First Advantage suggest that the Employment related discrepancy remains high even at the third quarter of 2015. The report identified as the ‘First Advantage Background Screening Trends Report, India' affirmed that the BFSI accounted a 43pct discrepancy while IT was reported at 21pct, reports ET.

 

 The report conducted by First Advantage in India is taken from collected reference checks and employment background verifications.  The overall pct in the 3rd quarter of 2015 shows that 78pct discrepancy cases were males while the 22 pct were females.

The larger numbers of discrepancies were seen to come from the 22 - 30 age bracket candidates. The given categories- Discrepancies related to employment, Address and Education were marked at 56.3 pct, 14.3pct and 4.8pct respectively.

Taking states into account, Karnataka was seen with 22pct discrepancies in lead, followed shortly by  Maharashtra at 20pct. Andhra Pradesh  was marked at 11pct followed by Tamil Nadu at 8pct, Uttar Pradesh 7pct and finally Delhi at 6pct.

Purushotam Savlani, MD and senior VP at First Advantage India said "This trend report provides insights that employers can use to streamline their existing hiring and screening practices and benchmark their current programme results against others in the country".

Without a doubt, fake documents stands as the largest chunk at 39pct in quarter three of 2015 AS as opposed to the 2nd quarter of 47pct in 2015. In every 100 education related discrepancies that was identified, 71 were seen to be at graduate level. The report further disclosed the case level inflow that include sectors like retail, FMCG, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, travel and hospitality and  ITES/BPO and BFSI has risen considerably in  the third quarter.
