Facebook In Leading Edge With Its Hiring Spree
BANGALORE: When Facebook is in news there’s always something to expect and according to a review of job listings on the company's website, it is said that Virtual reality, drones and data centers are all driving a hiring spree at Facebook. This will in turn help its ranks as much as 14 percent in the near term, reports Times of India.
“We are an ambitious company run by an ambitious CEO,” said Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s chief operating officer. “Our users are growing and our business is growing and we want to support that.”
The company is sewed-up to invest in the burgeoning sector of Virtual Reality. Facebook has put up 54 jobs for its newly attained Oculus Rift, owner of virtual reality headsets, as market for this sector appears promising for growth in entertainment, networking and gaming.
Facebook’s Oculus Rift is presently looking for managers for its logistics, procurement and global supply chain planning sections which according to some analysts hints at the close release of the device in the market.
The quality of the graphics is soaped up and the newly added options would render entrancing exposure in a hope to compete against Samsung’s Gear VR.
Google, Microsoft and Alibaba are on alerts as giant social networking site is also hiring sales employees and software engineers stepping up in expanding its wings. Rich revenues bagged by Facebook last year places it in lead preference of most proficient programmers.
"We're growing as fast as we can, where the 'can' part is really a factor of how many people we can absorb while maintaining a strong culture," said Paul Carduner, an engineering manager, Facebook's Seattle office.
Furthermore, the graph also shows an exponential growth for the company. Arvind Bhatia, an analyst with Sterne, Agee & Leach, estimated $30 billion revenue for Facebook in few years.
