With high demand on job requirements, employees should prepare themselves for this scenario and hone the skills accordingly, Uppaluri added.
The survey further noted employers consider employees' social skills (87 percent), digital skills (90 per cent), education and refresher courses (88 percent) and experience (88 percent) to be more important now than five years ago.
"As corporate India is becoming more global and diverse, organizations across industry sectors are recruiting talents from various geographies. Companies are therefore looking for employees with effective social skills who can fit into the organization’s culture," Uppaluri said.
The survey further finds that India continued to remain the highest mobility index of 154 amongst all the countries, indicating that the war for talent continues to be a major challenge for organizations in India.
Malaysia and Brazil follow India with indices of 137 and 132 respectively.
Mobility index is least in Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Germany indicating least employee churn.
The quarterly review tracks jobseekers confidence and provides a comprehensive understanding of job market sentiment and trends relating to the employment market across 32 countries.
