EMC appoints Alok Tandon to head Channel business

New Delhi: EMC India, an information infrastructure solutions company, has announced the appointment of Alok Tandon as Director, Channels and Strategic Alliances in EMC India and the SAARC region. In this role, Tandon will be responsible for growing and driving our Partners and Alliances strategy in the region. He will also spearhead EMC's distribution and systems integrators strategy.
Tandon joins EMC from Oracle, where he was Director, Education Business. Prior to Oracle, Tandon held senior positions at companies including Polaris Software, SSA Global, DCM Data Systems and Wipro Infotech. An IT industry veteran with over 26 years, Tandon has extensive experience working across business units, engaging with customers, and executing channel plans. Besides channel strategy and operations, Tandon's background also includes sales, marketing and customer support.
Tandon will report to Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India and SAARC. Commenting on the appointment, Chugh, said, "We are happy to have Tandon to lead our channel strategy. His deep channel industry experience provides a strong complement to our executive leadership team."
