Dell India makes key top level exec changes

Bangalore: Dell India has announced of changes made in its leadership team, especially in the Large Enterprise (LE) business unit. Sameer Garde, the Country Manager of Dell India will now assume the role of Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Director for Services, Sales and Marketing. He will, however, remain with Dell India as the country General Manager. Garde, who took over from Rajan Anandan in June 2008, joined the company in April 2004. In his new role, Garde will be responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy for Dell Services in the APJ region. Garde was also responsible for Dell's LE business in India, which will now be headed by Vikas Bhonsle, as the General Manager of the same. Bhonsle has been associated with Dell for the last ten years and was previously leading the LE division of Dell India for the western region. The company's LE is one of the major segments in India in which the company has held top position in the last two years. The Global Accounts Business will be moved out of the LE unit in India and made part of the larger APJ Global 500 team.
