It is said that Mumbai bagged the third position in this list.
Among the sectors in Delhi-NCR, Gurgaon bagged most of the jobs with a share of 69 percent, which was further followed by Noida.
Delhi being a spot for tourism and business spot, is playing high with startups like MakeMyTrip, Expedia, Yatra already and the new emerging startups are thus gaining even more hike there, mentioned Sunil Goel, MD of Global Hunt. He further added, “Travel start-ups are setting shop in the region owing to easy availability of resources trained in a similar industry.”
As per the experts, Gurgaon is emerging as an IT and technology hub, which is attracting more and more entrepreneurs very frequently. Techies from the three northern IITs (Delhi, Roorkee and Kanpur) opt for this place as a place to settle down and build career. Goel commented on this issue saying, “The proximity to venture capitalists companies is another added advantage.”
India is a startup friendly country and thus a number of startup ventures like Flipkart, Snapdeal, Zomato etc. have been started. Even the international startup giants are trying their luck in India and Amazon is on top. As per Times job survey, Amazon is the top hiring company among Indian startups.
The hot and trending jobs available in these Indian startups are in field of IT/Telecom-Software, HR/Training and Sales/Business Development, as per Timsjob.com.
Another reason behind Delhi’s success may be that they are hiring candidates with mid-level talent. It means that they prefer professionals with 2-5 years (22 percent) of experience and professionals with job experience in 5-7 or 7-10 (18 percent) years are given chance next to them. Hence, it is clear that these startup ventures have sufficient funds to pay the experienced professionals.
