Delhi Boy Sets New Record, Gets 1.27 Cr Offer from Google
BENGALURU: If you think a job in Google is the dream come true, then there is more. Delhi boy Chettan Kakkar set a new recored in international placement cell of Delhi Technological University(DTU) by accepting an offer worth $1,90,000 (Rs 1.27 crore approx) per annum from Google, reports Indiatimes.
The fourth year IT student of DTU now, graduated from Springdales School, Pusa Road.
In an interview with TOI, young Kakkar said, “This was what I had been striving so far, and I am excited to join Google.” He also considers the contributions of DTU in his career and prospects.
In records, this is the highest offer to a student placement at DTU. Till now the biggest valued 93lacs.
Subhash Kakkar, his father is a management professor and Rit Kakkar, his mother teaches chemistry in Delhi University.
Well, this is not the first time Google made such an offer to any Indian candidate. In December 2014, Gaurav Agarwal from IIT Indore grabbed an offer worth 1.7 crore in the same organization.
Sundar Pichai,the Indian CEO might be considered a factor for this recognition of Indians in the tech giant company.
Kakkar is all set to leave for California to join Google next year.
