Germany: Siemens Enterprise Communications, a provider of enterprise communications, appointed Chris Hummel as the company's new Chief Marketing Officer. Hummel will be responsible for the strategy, structure and execution of all Siemens Enterprise Communications' marketing activities globally. Reporting to CEO Hamid Akhavan, who himself recently joined the company from Deutsche Telekom, Hummel will serve as a member of the senior executive team. "Chris' deep software industry expertise, as well as his ability to translate technology messages into clear business value, will further assert our leadership position in the market," said Hamid Akhavan, Chief Executive Officer for Siemens Enterprise Communications.
