Central Bank of India signs pact with UK university

London: The University of Warwick has signed an agreement with the Central Bank of India to provide loans worth Rs 20 lakh to Indian students studying at the varsity's Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG).
S Sridhar, Chairman and Managing Director of the Central Bank of India, visited WMG and signed the agreement to fast-track the loans to Indian students.
Sridhar signed the agreement with WMG Director Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya.
The partnership between the bank and WMG covers several areas of cooperation beyond the provision of fast-track loans for Indian students studying at WMG.
It also includes?partnership work to enhance the understanding of Indian business and promote technical and social cooperation between the UK and India.
Professor Sujit Banerji, Executive Director of Postgraduate Programmes at WMG said: "This agreement builds?a strong partnership between WMG and the Central Bank of India.
The new fast-track student loan approval process for WMG's Indian students is particularly welcome".
