Hunter S. Thompson is known for his ‘Gonzo’ style of journalism, i.e. he avoided the objective nature of typical journalism and wrote in a highly subjective manner, incorporating his own artistic creativity and experiences into stories. The result was a type of writing that integrated the lines between truth and fiction. He is famous for his novel ‘Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas’. Thompson killed himself by putting a bullet to his brain.
