Involvement of women in the software development profession is just 18 percent, the lowest participation in the top ten highest paying jobs for women. But, there was an unusual influx of women during the mid-1960s. Women software developers are found to be happy managing both works and family responsibilities. They earn almost 86 percent of the men’s earnings in the profession. With the advent of many start-ups, and multinational companies, and also for the further development of convergence of technologies, software development and quality assurance become one of the lucrative jobs today.
