France: Well, the French Government projects all together a different dimentions for students aspiring international study. International students enrolling for studies in France have the right to work while studying as long as they want but on one criteria, i.e., the students have to be enrolled in an institution that participates in the national student healthcare plan. And for students who are not nationals of European Union member countries need to hold a valid residency permit. French laws allow students to work 964 hours in a year.
Germany: When it comes to Germany, the country which is best known for its engineering, international students who flock here should belong to country from outside EU or EEA are allowed to work 120 full or 240 half days in a year. The German government has no mandatory rules that are to be followed when it comes to seeking authorization from the Employment Agency, or the German authorities. However, if students want to work more than 120 full or 240 half days they need the approval of the Employment Agency and the Aliens Department. The other norm under the German laws is that International students from outside the EU are also not allowed to be self employed or to be a freelancer. But if the occupation is related to academic nature or of a student assistant, there is a norm that the work can be carried out for an unlimited period of time.
