Mumbai: Nexus Venture Partners, India's venture capital firm, announced the appointment of Anup Gupta as its new Managing Director. Gupta is a graduate from both Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and IIT Kharagpur. In his new role, Gupta would require to select new investments by working in close associations with portfolio companies. Based in the Mumbai office, he will take charge of the business and consumer services in Nexus. On his appointment Gupta said, "I am delighted to join the Nexus team. In a short span of time, Nexus has become the leading venture fund in India with a strong reputation of being an active value-added partner." As the ex-COO at WNS with an experience of eight years, Gupta has performed major roles in transforming WNS from an early stage company to a NYSE traded revenue of more than $300 million. He created new service lines and led the globalization strategy. Prior to his appointment in Nexus, he was also a Principal with eVentures India, a pioneer venture capital firm, and a Management Consultant at Booz & Company in Mumbai.
