Mumbai: Aptech, a provider of learning solutions has announced that Anuj Kacker will be taking over as Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Retail for the company. All business unit heads of retail brands will be reporting to Kacker for domestic business. Prior to this, Kacker was the Global Head, Arena Animation and Senior Vice President, Aptech. He also acted as global head for the major brands of Aptech including Aptech Computer Education and Aptech Worldwide. He has continuously helped power the company's rapid growth worldwide in over 35 countries. Kacker has over 23 years of experience in a variety of highly competitive industries like pharmaceuticals, paints and consumer durables. Besides Aptech, his experience includes successful tenures in multinationals like ICI as well as other well known brands like Akai and Jenson and Nicholson. Ninad Karpe, MD and CEO, Aptech said, "Over the years, we have launched various retails brands, which have made a mark in the domestic market. It is now time to bring about cost and operational synergy across all these brands. Hence, Kacker will take over the responsibility of COO - Retail. Over the past six years, Kacker has demonstrated good understanding of the education business in India and at the global level." An Electronics Engineer from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and a Management Graduate from Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata, Kacker was awarded the 'Indira Super Achiever Award' in 2007, recognizing his talent, competence, skills and contribution to the organization.
