Akshay Aggarwal appointed Micro Focus' India GM

Bangalore: Micro Focus has appointed Akshay Aggrawal as the Country General Manager for its India business. He will be responsible to drive business growth for the entire Micro Focus business portfolio across India and the SAARC region. Aggrawal will be based in Delhi and will be reporting to David Taylor, President of Asia Pacific & Japan. He brings with him over 14 years of experience in the IT industry, working in various geographies including India and U.S. David Taylor, President, Asia Pacific & Japan, Micro Focus said on Aggrawal's appointment, "Akshay brings to the team a wealth of technology experience and tremendous management skills. He is well respected within the Indian IT community and has received numerous awards and accolades for his work. In this role he will be responsible for directing and overseeing Micro Focus's overall growth and expansion efforts in India, and I am confident of success." Aggrawal was previously associated with Oracle India and BEA Systems, contributing significantly in developing the domestic market in both the companies. He has hands on technical experience working on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Social Computing, Middleware and Web technologies, Virtualization and Databases.
