After Kallasvuo shown the door, Nokia's Anssi Vanjoki resigns

Bangalore: Anssi Vanjoki, the head of Nokia’s Mobile Solutions has given notice of his resignation from the company. The news comes a day prior to Nokia World, the company’s major annual event. Now this is certainly a big blow to the world’s biggest mobile phone maker. However, Vanjoki will continue in his current position for the time being till his six months notice period expires. The resignation follows Nokia’s announcement of Chief Executive Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, who has been replaced by Microsoft’s Stephen Elop. Experts are of the opinion that Anssi's sudden desire to explore new opportunities is at least in part motivated by Nokia's choice to install Stephen Elop as its future CEO.
