Mumbai: Essar Group's BPO arm Aegis said that it plans to hire nearly 11,000 persons this fiscal, and would set up an institute for customer relationship management in association with IIM-Indore and two others.
"We plan to hire nearly 11,000 people this financial year for our various divisions. Half of this will be from India and the rest from foreign countries," Aegis managing director and global CEO Aparup Sengupta told reporters here today.
These recruitments will enable the outsourcing major to fill vacancies across various verticals such as BFSI, telecom and healthcare, he said.
The company is also looking at strategic investments in Latin America and Australia, Sengupta said, without elaborating on the firm's expansion plans.
Aegis today forayed into the education sector by launching the Institute of Customer Experience Management (ICEM) in collaboration with IIM-Indore. "The institute will help fill the gap faced by the services industry in finding the right talent," Sengupta said.
