Accenture Aggressively Hiring Employees in India
Bangalore: Accenture is continuing its hiring process immensely and trying to increase its number of employees in India. This consulting, technology and outsourcing giant has taken up additional office spaces in Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and in the Delhi regions which is a clear indication of its extending business across India, reports Mini Joseph Tejaswi on the Economic Times.
The company stared its large campus hiring across the country just few years ago. Approximately 6000 to 7000 new recruits will be joining the company this year and the point you need to know is India is the single largest employee base for Accenture as the number of employees is expected to cross 80,000 by 2012 August. After India, the company has over 40,000 employees in the United States and 35,000 in the Philippines. The company has a worldwide headcount of 251,000 which is higher than TCS [243,545], as reported on Wikipedia.
Avinash Vashistha, Accenture India Managing Director, did not reveal any specific information regarding the total recruiting number, but said that they are the most preferred choice for the company with their integrated offering of technology, management consulting and outsourcing among employees and vendors in India. Adding he said, they wish to continue to look for growth options in India.
The Company already has its branches in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai and now it is eyeing on Pune as the city of choice for immediate expansion. Many technology companies are getting attracted towards Pune because of its educational ecosystem, good climate, large talent pool and also because the city is closer to Mumbai.
