According to analysts, hiring through social media is expected to grow by more than 50 percent this year from 2013, reports Danish Khan of the TOI.

Along with the benefit of knowing the person better with less cost and within the preferred time, the branding of the company also gets involved. "When companies hire through social media, it allows them to promote their employer's brand through this tool," says Shiv Agrawal, founder of HeadHonchos.com.
