Bangalore: Every nation will be having different number of holiday list, as the list will vary among all the companies. One common holiday list that every company follows is the national holidays declared by the central government of every country. According to the Mercer’s Worldwide Benefit and Employment Guidelines, here is the list of the countries with most number of holidays, as reported on the Rediff Business website, starting from the countries that have least number of holidays among 30 countries.

1. India:

Though the Indians follow different cultures in different regions, this nation has the least number of holidays when compared with the other 29 countries with just 28 holidays in a year that includes, 12 statutory minimum holidays along with 12 public holidays. Here in India, there will be different holiday list followed by different states along with the national holidays considered as a common holidays. These different holidays in different States will be according to their regional holidays that includes, holidays for their regional festival holidays. Apart from that, the MNCs that are based in India, will also declare holiday as per the holidays followed in the country where the company is head quartered.
