Chile—46 Percent Optimistic
While employment levels have been rising throughout all of Latin America, Chile performed the best last year. As a result, Chile’s economy has continued to grow further, making it one of the fastest-growing economies in South America.
Chile, which is currently experiencing an employment boom, has added approximately 660,000 jobs over the past two years and some economists believe that the country has reached full employment. There are, however, questions regarding to the quality of these jobs because most of these professions were part-time and not full-time.
Although Chile's future is looking bright indeed, the country continues to face major challenges. Despite having Latin America's best educational system, Chile has a major labor shortage of skilled professionals in the mining sector.
Mexico—47 Percent Optimistic
Recognized as one of the most visited countries in the world, the land of ancient Mayans and Aztecs is considered as one of the larger emerging economies and also a major source of manufactured products.
After overcoming a major economic turmoil in the early eighties and again in the mid-nineties for a massive undervaluation of its currency, Mexico has witnessed a steady hiring since then and that’s likely to remain over the next few years.
