It’s a public central university established in 1916 by Madan Mohan Malviya. Named as one of the largest residential universities in Aisa, the institute has a student population of over 20,000. In academics the college has attained a score of 10.9 out of 20 which places it on 5^th position. It has 13 departments and three interdisciplinary schools.

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Karnataka

Formerly known by the name Karnataka Regional Engineering College; NIT- Karnataka is a public university at Suratkal, Mangalore. It is one of the 31 NITs in India with a ranking of 9 in infrastructure front and a score of 5 on 10. It’s a joint venture between the state and the central government and has 14 departments and 11 support centers.
