To Meet Demand Recruitment Firms Go On A Hiring Spree
BANGALORE: Recruitment firms are reinforcing their hiring teams in hopes of the post-appraisal job shifts and in an increasing client demand. Task forces are prepped to cover all their bases for the imminent growth of job hopping in the coming few months.
"We hired 100 recruiters in the past three months to manage new orders from ongoing contracts and in anticipation of more clients," said Ajit Isaac, chairman of Quess (previously in the Ikya Human Capital Solutions), reports ET.
The firm has devised a plan called the 'Sniper Recruitment' training programme to seize the best candidates within the shortest time. With that being disclosed head hunters are enforced with training to recognize the right candidate by means of reducing dropouts. "To increase the wallet share, we have to increase the team," said Isaac.
Job switches peak in May-July after appraisal results are out in most companies. The acceptance of temporary employment in job-generating sectors will add to the surge as well.
The mandatory expectancy for hiring agencies is more likely to come from technology, oil and gas, infrastructure, hospitality and aviation, BFSI along with e-commerce topping the slots.
"Staffing companies are spring boards during good times and shock absorbers in bad times. And acceptance of temporary staff by new industries like ecommerce has pushed the demand," said Ashok Reddy, co-founder, Team-Lease Services.
Adecco India, comprising around one lakh temps in India, has recruited more than 20,000 of them in the first quarter of 2015.
"Our temp numbers are growing not only in terms of volume but also in terms of business mix. Our y-o-y growth has been positive and in line with our strategy of 'quality growth' (volumes plus margins)," said Angelo Lo Vecchio, MD and country manager of Adecco India.
