Singularity University Inaugurated a New Chapter in Gurgaon
Singularity University (SU), a certified benefit corporation has inaugurated a new Chapter at The Quorum, Gurgaon (India’s first urban lifestyle destination that is community-led, content-driven, high design, and experiential). The SingularitiyU Gurgaon Chapter was founded with a vision to bring together thought leaders, evangelists, passionate go-getters, SU diaspora, the enterprising, the creative minded, and the technologically inclined to facilitate local innovation via a series of events and conversations featuring local experts. “We are delighted to provide support for the SingularityU Gurgaon Chapter. We set up The Quorum to serve as a platform for relevant and impactful conversations, and we already regularly host a variety of speaking arrangements across a wide spectrum of topics. The events of the Chapter are a natural fit, covering the ever-growing importance of technology and its impact on the world,” said Vivek Narain, Founder & CEO, The Quorum.

The first SingularitiyU Gurgaon Chapter event will be performed in February 2019, date and programmes yet to be announced. This new Chapter in Gurgaon will marks another milestone in the scale and scope of SU community. Jaspreet Bindra, Digital Transformation and Blockchain Adviser asserted, “Our Chapter is open to Singularity University alumni and all members of our community who are interested in technology and its positive impact on the lives of individuals, wider society, and the world”. “This is in keeping with the team’s efforts to expand and empower the local ecosystem to foster an abundant mindset that catalyzes people and ideas into action. As our regional leadership teams build local communities in support of the development of exponential technologies, the ability for meaningful global and local impact grows,” further added Dharmishta Rood, Senior Director, Community Leadership, SU.
Headquartered at San Jose (NASA Research Park), SU was established by renowned innovators Ray Kurzweil and Peter H. Diamandis in 2008 with program funding from leading organizations including Google, Deloitte, and UNICEF. Till date, the university has introduced 142 Chapters in 66 countries, each located in some of the most innovative and upcoming global technology centers across the world. “We collectively believe in what singularity stands for innovation, scientific progress and finding solutions using technology.
