Recruiters Seek Top Level Executives

high experienceBENGALURU: After almost two decades, India is witnessing a prominent change regarding the hiring of the ‘big league’ including CEOs, CTOs, CFOs and Directors with an experience of 20+ years. Since Jan 2014, a vast change in assorting the talent at the top level has been seen. Demand for highly experienced professionals has increased by almost 3 percent in past one year, reports the ETI.

While on other hand, it was recorded that from Dec 14 to Jan 15, the rate of hiring of the top executives was 14 percent, with a growth of 2 percent in the last two quarters. Data from TimesJobs reflects that BPO/ITeS, retail, IT/telecom, petrochemicals/oil and gas witnessed a high growth in demand for experienced professionals.

Everyone is assuming a different angle for such a change. Some people say that this boom in hiring of the big league in every sector is only due to a hiring spree in startups and e-Commerce sectors. On the other hand, few are suspecting this is because of the Make In India.

For top level recruitment there is a high demand for specialization in production, sales, business development, operation and IT. Industries related to construction, manufacturing, Engineering Projects and IT software are on the top list to search for high experiences.

Shedding light on the same issue, Kamal Karanth, MD of the Kelly Services India and Malaysia said that the roles such as VP-Quality system/corporate quality, operations director, head talent acquisition, head strategy, finance supply-chain, and marketing will be in high demand this year.
