Majority of Employees Expect Pay Raise in 2012: Study

Bangalore: During the recent situation of economic slowdown a majority of U.S. employees were adapted to accept the stagnant pay packages, however with the economic recovery many employees claimed that they expect a pay hike this year, reveals a new survey by Glassdoor.com, a career website, reports David Schepp of Aol Jobs. 

According to the findings of the Glassdoor survey, 43 percent of U.S. staffs expected an increment in the pay packages in the forthcoming year; this is for the first time in four years that more employees in the U.S. expected a pay hike than those who did not expect a pay hike, as they were only 38 percent.

Based on the results of the polls, the Glassdoor survey evaluated the opinion of 2,000 adults found that 46 percent or more anticipate their company's outlook to improve in the next six months. Focusing on the employee confidence, the survey found that amongst the unemployed job- seekers, most of them looked positive as more than a third said that they expect to find suitable job in the next six months.
