IIT Boy Bags 2 Cr Dream Job in Google

BENGALURU: Abhishek Pant, a final year computer science student of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, got a job in Google Inc with an Rs 2-crore annual package. He recently finished his three-month internship at Google California, reports Times of India.

He went through a rigorous round of interviews before being selected into the design solutions cell. Pant was born and brought up in the U.S. before his family shifted to Pune in 2006. He studied in Delhi Public School, Pune and was the city topper in CBSE 10th standard exams.

Pant said, "The journey from Pune to Kharagpur and Kharagpur to Google Mount View in California has been quite exciting. I had a great experience working there as an intern. A job offer is the icing on the cake."

He initially cleared two rounds of technical interviews over the phone for the internship. As part of the process, he had to do coding in a Google document and was further interviewed by the project manager. Pant cleared the third interview as well, and started his internship in May. When the internship came to an end, he was offered the job but only after finishing his next set of interviews to get this job.

He will be working in the team design solutions to find the best way of solving user’s problems. Also he is looking forward to join this amazing job in the coming September in 2016.
