IISc Only Indian Institution in Global Employability List 2012
Bangalore: The 103 year old IISc (Indian Institute of Science) has made up to the list of Global Employability List 2012 as the only Indian Institution among all the prestigious foreign institutions across the world. The Indian Institute of Science based in Bangalore, which first figured in the list in 2011, has jumped from 134th position to 35th position in 2012’s list, reports Rhik Kundu of the Times of India.
The list was prepared in collaboration with French firm Emerging and German institute Trendence, which specializes in recruitment. This list includes top-quality institutions like Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, Imperial College of London, Goethe-University and MIT, in its top 10.

According to the P Balaram, the Director of Indian Institute of Science, the strength of IISc lies in its ability to recruit proficient faculty and intelligent students from different parts of the country. He added that, heterogeneity always facilitated the institution in its pursuit for innovative and fresh ideas, and mentioned that the students of IISc are employable as soon as they complete their respective courses.
