Bangalore: The prestigious Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta (IIM-C) is all set to add another feather to its illustrious hat. It is one step away from becoming the first and the only B-school from India to be recognized by two of the world's top B-school accreditation bodies, namely, Europe-based Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), reports Jhimli Mukherjee Pandey ofTNN.

With a view to garner greater global acceptance, the board of governors of IIM-C, decided to vie for these accreditations nearly a year ago. Subsequently, the two global agencies were approached and greater details about the institute’s records and regular activities were produced.

Every minute details ranging from information on curriculum, placement records, quality of faculty and research, and student feedback to steps taken to bring in foreign students and employer feedback were presented to AMBA for assessment.
