IIIT- Allahabad Ink Landmark Deal With 6 Foreign Universities
Bangalore: The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT-A) has added another feather to its illustrious hat by inking agreement with six international varsities, reports the TNN.
This agreement allows the students from IIIT-A to participate in science conclave from the next year and in the process gain some valuable global experience.
IIIT-Allahabad director Dr MD Tiwari signed the landmark memorandum of understanding (MOU) with representatives of six premier institutes of the world, which included two universities from the U.S. and one university each from Italy, Canada, Switzerland and Denmark recently.
The next science conclave is scheduled to head from December 8th to 14th, 2014 and will see representations from universities, namely, State University of New York, Buffalo, New York; Indiana University of Pennsylavania, U.S.; University of Rome for Vergata, Rome, Italy; Centre for Tele-Infrastruktur, Aalborg University, Denmark; Biomedical Technology and Cell Therapy Research Technology, McGill University, Montreal, Canada; and Ecde Polytechnique Federal De LauSanne, the Swiss Federal Institute Of Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland.
As per the MoU, IIIT-A can nominate and send 5-10 students at the level of graduate, undergraduate, and research for attending the conclave. This agreement will come into effect from the beginning of the next and will stand for the next five years, or until it is terminated by one of the two concerned parties.
