Average IT Salary Benchmark in India for 2012
Bangalore: Are you an IT professional who is trying to change your job? Before thinking of it, here is a report by ZDNet Asia which conducted an online survey across various countries in Asia during March 2011 to March 2012, to check out the pay packages Asia’s IT professionals are getting. This survey can be very much helpful for you before deciding whether to change your profession or not as it focuses on the current market trends, reports Kevin Kwang on ZDNet website.
Around 945 respondents were involved in this survey from various job functions and these respondents were selected from seven Asian countries of China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. Among those 945 respondents, India contributed 508 respondents and of these 508 respondents, 176 IT professionals had less than 5 years of working experience and 254 had 5 to 10 years and around 78 professionals had more than 10 years of experience. 1. Web Development:
As development of new website for the internet is increasing day by day the demand for professionals with web development skills is also rising rapidly. This profession can also include web designing, web content development, client association, web server and e-commerce development etc. Among web professionals, web development usually refers to the main non design aspects of building websites: the writing markup and coding. The annual salary for the web development professionals starts from 447,126 [for less than 5 years of experience], 798,637 [for 5 to 10 years of experience], and 1,271,278 for [for professionals with more than 10 years of experience].
