Asian Firms Expected to Top in Global IT Hiring
Bangalore: Research firm Gartner has predicted that by 2014, majority of the IT hiring in the western markets will be by the top IT companies headquartered in Asian nations, by enjoying a double-digit growth, reports Shelley Singh in the Economic Times Website.
Peter Sondergaard, Gartner’s Senior Vice President and Global Head of Research told that, increasing number of IT companies headquartered in Asian nations, especially from China and India, are enjoying double digit growth in the western markets and are all set to make lot of investments in almost all the major western markets by 2015. He also added that, These Asian IT companies would have already started hiring large number of IT professionals to support their growth, while the western firms will still be trying to cop up with the impact of economic crisis.
It has been estimated that by 2015, there will be around 4.4 million IT jobs created globally to support the big data and among these around 9, 60,000 jobs will be in the Asian Pacific region.
Every job related to big data in Asia Pacific will create employment opportunities for three people outside from the IT field. So, this makes to a total of 4 million jobs created in Asia Pacific. Nevertheless, it has been reported that only one third of the IT role will be filled due to lack of ability in big data.
