BANGALORE: Choosing the right majors is a big decision and it is important to get it right. Most students choose their courses based on their talents, interests, strengths, likes and dislikes, not on how those courses can help them in the future. Not all courses will fetch more salary. Payscale, an online salary, benefits and compensation Information Company, recently looked at the starting pay of the college majors, here is a list of the 9 college degrees with the lowest starting salaries, as compiled by Business Insider

#1.Early Childhood Education

Median pay: $29,700

Early childhood education is a branch of educational theory which relates to the teaching of young children up to  the age of  eight, with a particular focus on developmental education, most importantly before the start of compulsory education.

Early childhood education often focuses on learning through play, which evokes Children's natural curiosity and imagination. . Thus, children learn more  effectively and gain more knowledge through activities such as dramatic play, art, and social games. In recent years, early childhood education has become a prevalent public policy issue, as state and federal lawmakers consider its place in public education.
