8 IT Skills Required to Excel in 2012

Bangalore: This year the hiring activity is on the rise in most technology companies as the organizations are planning to upgrade the infrastructure of the enterprise architecture as well as investment projects which were all set aside by the economic slowdown in 2008, reveals Mike McBrierty, Director of Human Resources ICT Group, which provides human resources to Eliassen Group. The survey conducted by the Eliassen Group finds out that almost 29 percent of 353 CIO’s who participated in the survey claimed that the group intended to employ more in the summer, which is high from 23 percent in 2010 and 20 percent  in 2009, reports the MeetKhmer Website.

According to the survey result the priority of the skills required to staff the IT sector in 2012 has also changed. Listed below are eight IT skills you need to excel in 2012.  

1. Programming and application development: 61 percent of CIO’s said that in the 2012 they need 353 professionals who should be able to program and develop an application, which is up from 44 percent in 2010. John Reed, CEO of Robert Half Technology Co, said that IT staffs should know how to develop the company website so that the clients would like to visit the website persistently, for this the programmers should definitely have knowledge in web development and about mobile technology, in order to improve access to customer content through smart phones.
