The Open Group is a vendor and technology-neutral industry consortium, currently with over four hundred member organizations. Formed in 1996, The Open Group is most famous for its certification in the UNIX trademark, and its publication of the Single UNIX Specification technical standard, which extends the POSIX standards.
With the market responding to anything that has to do with architecture these certification are in demand and employers are willing to pay a premium for them. In fact all three of these IT certifications made it into Foote Partner's highest paying IT certifications. Additionally, the Open Group’s TOGAF standard, which is an industry standard enterprise architecture framework, has increased by 25 percent in the last 6 months.
