If you are a lover of flowers, this career path may not give you the desired result as future job prospects are wilting for floral designers. The reason why this job field suffers is budget and conscious consumers are opting to buy fresh-cut flowers from grocery stores instead of elaborate arrangements from florists. Not only that, the work is hectic as you come across strong and potentially conflicting personalities all around you. Schedules are tight, both because flowers are perishable, and because the events and holidays that they are intended for are time-sensitive. To make matters worse, the pay is not all that great.
