You should say sorry for specific slip – ups: Although you must never apologize to the hiring manager for a bad job interview, it is always advisable for you to say sorry to him/her, if you feel that you said something irrelevant due to slip of tongue. You are not sure that what the interviewer is thinking about that sentence, which you delivered during the course of the interview, maybe he/ she is not thinking it as bad as you are thinking, according to Dr Katherine.  But if you really think that you said something that require you to ask for an apology, you should simply call or e- mail him/ her, saying sorry, and that you accidently said it.
