Typos are quite a common mistake while mentioning company names, job titles or even user's name. Unfortunately LinkedIn doesn’t have an inbuilt spell check to underline misspelled errors in red. Therefore it is important to revise and make  sure no mistakes are there after you’ve completed the task of filling your profile.

*Posting a professional picture for your LinkedIn profile can instantly grab the attention of recruiters. Studies have disclosed that profiles with pictures are more likely to draw recruiters than those that don’t. Furthermore, LinkedIn cited , a user  is viewed 14 times more  if they' ve put up a photo for their profile.

*Do not get confused with Facebook and LinkedIn. The latter being suited for professionalism should not include irrelevant details or personal pictures.

* Adding a background image to your profile will certainly add a few plus points to your profile. However make sure the background matches your brand. LinkedIn also permits users to upload all kinds of rich media which include documents, pictures, links, videos, and presentations to add further weight to your profile.
